In a story announcing plans for NBC Sports to occupy a new campus in Connecticut, moving from their long time headquarters in Rockefeller Center, gaffers tape was in the spotlight, keeping the deal out of the spotlight.

In the process of early scouting of the site, Paul Koopman, a senior broadcast engineer with Versus (an NBC/Comcast subsidiary )revealed that he hid his network affiliation by placing gaffers tape over a logo on his jacket.
