“To The Moon, Gaffers Tape!
Well maybe not all the way to the moon (apologies to Jackie Gleason), but at least to the edge of outer space.
Josh Taylor, an amateur astronomer from Surrey, England has sent a balloon up 118,00 feet with a payload consisting of a couple of cameras, a gps system for location and some hand warmers to keep the electronics warm.
Taylor placed the payload into a plastic box and wrapped it in gaffers tape to protect it.
