Scammers in South Carolina convinced a woman in a gas station parking lot to purchase a brand new Apple laptop at a “volume” discount, and she jumped at a chance to purchase what she thought was a brand new computer for an unbelievable price.
When she got her price purchase home she realized that what she had actually purchased was a stack of paper covered with black duct tape. The fake computer even had a power cord and a Best Buy sticker.
