Don’t Expect To Find This Word In The Oxford English Dictionary
While searching for the latest news on tape, we came across this article about a subject titled “Ductaigami”. This was a new word to us, but it turns out that the formal term for making artistic and useful items from duct tape has been around for a while.
A quick search of Amazon turns up a book called “Ductigami: The Art of The Tape“, by Joe Wilson. This book includes items as basic as the ubiquitous duct tape wallet and those as esoteric as superhero masks and as practical as a shower curtain.
First appearing as a self published book in 1997, this tome to all things duct tape has sold over 50,000 copies and is ste for a new prss run of 12,000 more.
