The exectutive producer of American Idol was reduced to using gaffers tape to cover Steven Tyler’s mouth after the Aerosmith lead singer dropped the “F Bomb” on live tv while describing the performance of on of the contestants.
Nigel Lythgoe, along with a number of other Fox network execs, was forced to run an apology along the bottom of the Idol screen, telling audience members that Mr. Tyler had been warned and had promised to never do anything like that again.
We love Steven Tyler and will be happy to send you a whole case of gaffers tape if that’s what it takes to keep him as an Idol judge.
