At the beginning of every school year, we see a number of stories about school fundraisers where students buy strips of duct tape and then use them to tape the principal to the wall, a doorway, whatever.

We usually see an equal number of stories about teachers who duct tape students to desks, chairs, bus seats, whatever.

When the students do it, the group that raises the most money gets a pizza party.

When the teachers do it, there are usually criminal charges that follow.
