Writing in his new biography Rod: The Autobiography, singer Rod Stewart credits that rock and roll staple, gaffers tape, for helping control the amount of sex that went on during his early touring days.

Stewart writes about opening his hotel suite door only to find his naked bass player taped to the bed.
