An Australian parent was arrested for substituting gaffers tape for the seat belts that are supposed to hold a child safety seat securely in the car.

Police are arresting an average of seven parents a day for using items like pliers, truck load control straps and bungie cords in place of the properly anchored seat belts that are intended to safely hold the seats in place.
