The sheriff in Clay County, NC has decided to not press charges against an unruly child what was tied to a chair and had his mouth duct taped closed by his teacher.

Music Teacher Lindsey Cope apparently broke no laws when she attempted to control a disruptive first grader at Hayesville Middle School.

Cope, Hayesville Middle Schools “teacher of the year” was suspended with pay after the incident.
