Duct Tape By Any Other Name Is Not Gaffers Tape
We were drawn to a recent headline in the Washington Post about swiftwater resuce training that used a picture of equipment hanging from the belt of a participant.
The caption said, “gaffers tape” but the image clearly showed a roll of duct tape.
If you are involved in any sort of rescue training, you really owe it to yourself to learn about gaffers tape. It is stronger than duct tape, has just enough texture to provide some grip, is hand tearable and uses an adhesive that leaves no residue.
It belongs on the belt of any swiftwater rescuer.
You can see a slide show and learn more about the training by clicking here.
