The Tune Sticks In Your Head All Day
Among the many items German composer and performer Hauschka puts into his piano to get new sounds is gaffers tape.
Playing something called “prepared piano”, he puts chains, hammers, ping pong balls and all sorts of other items to create new sounds.
When he puts gaffers tape into the piano, he stands the roll on its edge so that it can move across the keys as he plays.
